Clamping turbocharger components

The challenge with this fixture was to implement numerous functions using only four connections. The GHZP-195.00/1 is one of several fixtures from our company used to clamp turbocharger components.

The GHZP-195.00/1 is a hydraulically actuated centring and face-clamping chuck with integrated cylinders. A loading aid guides the workpiece against a stop. An aligning device then orients it against the fixed stop, a sliding-jaw mandrel centres it, and a bridge clamps it against the locating face. The mandrel retracts before machining. A workpiece seating check verifies the position of the workpiece.
