Clamping Tools
Pneumatic chucks
Technical overview
Pneumatic clamping fixtures are actuated by an attached or integrated pneumatic cylinder.
Their main advantage is that no space is needed for a hydraulic power unit. Pneumatic clamping cylinders are suitable for rapid opening and closing. Because permissible operating pressures in production are relatively low, large cylinders are usually needed to achieve the required force. Pneumatic clamping is preferred for thin-walled workpieces because the force can be finely regulated down towards zero.
We primarily manufacture power-operated vices in two- and three-jaw versions, with or without a through-hole, as well as two-jaw versions arranged longitudinally or transversely to the connection.
Pneumatic fixtures can be used universally as stationary clamping fixtures on special-purpose, drilling and milling machines.
Key features of our pneumatic fixtures:
Consistent clamping force at a given pressure, resulting in high clamping accuracy.
Stepped jaws or unhardened top jaws can generally be used.
We adapt our vices to your machining task through tailored variants.
