Externally clamping sliding-jaw mandrel
This sliding-jaw mandrel clamps the workpiece externally. Spring force provides clamping, and pneumatic pressure releases it.
In this externally clamping sliding-jaw mandrel, spring force clamps the workpiece and pneumatic pressure releases it. The inclined sliding jaws produce a pull-down effect, pressing the workpiece against its support. Pneumatic sensing checks the workpiece position. Lubrication is applied manually through grease nipples on the chuck body.
